Repairs done well are not just about the function of any amp or instrument. Communication and transparency are paramount. I want you to know as much as you'd like to about what I do with your item and how it works. Though you may never see the guts of your amp/item, I want you to feel that you know it inside and out and that it is 100% yours. We have connections with these items, new or old, maintanence and repairs should only strengthen that.
I specialize in vintage tube amps but I'll work on anything from solid state amps to tape echoes, oil can units, keys of all kinds, rotating speaker cabinets or maybe you've got something weird? I'd love to see it.

San diego born and raised
Well, born in La Jolla and raised in Encinitas. I graduated from San Dieguito Academy, a hot bed of amazing musicians and creative folks and I could see the ocean from math class. I spent a few years travelling the Northwest and Midwest. My last day job was as head chef of a small farm to table restaurant. That's where I learned to take care of my customers and pride in my work. I've played guitar for over 20 years now in numerous bands from doom to psych to punk. Repair skills came when I started buying and selling guitars and amps as a side gig to running kitchens. Then 2020 happened so I quit the chef life to put all of my energy and resources into setting up shop for full time repairs and service.
Rates
Hourly Rate: $80
I strive to keep my rates affordable and transparent. For applicable work there is a one hour minimum unless other arrangements are made. Most items are done with 1 to 2 hours labor. If any repair will be over an hour and a few small/inexpensive parts I will reach out with a quote. If any repair is turned down by myself or the customer for any reason or if after extensive testing and troubleshooting no malfunction presents itself there will be a $40 diagnostic fee.
90 day warranty. Work and parts excluding vacuum tubes, speakers, and transformers are guaranteed for 90 days from completion.
